Morris Avenue Early Childhood Learning Center

The Morris Avenue School is an early childhood center within the Long Branch Public Schools district, serving the city’s youngest learners in pre-kindergarten and kindergarten. Originally opened in 1973 as the Amerigo A. Anastasia School, the building has long been a cornerstone of the neighborhood and reflects the district’s commitment to providing strong educational foundations for all children.

In 2012, the school underwent a significant renovation that transformed its open, pod-style layout into modern, self-contained classrooms designed for safety, focus, and early-childhood learning. At that time, the school was rededicated as Morris Avenue School, aligning its name with its location and its renewed purpose. The updated facility features bright classrooms, dedicated small-group spaces, and resources tailored to early childhood development.

At Morris Avenue School, the mission is to nurture curiosity and build essential early learning skills in a caring, supportive environment. Through engaging instruction and a warm school culture, Morris Avenue helps every young learner begin their educational journey with confidence and joy.
